Valentino Rossi is considered to be one of the greatest Motor-cycle racers of all time. With nine World Championships, Rossi is still one of the top riders in the world and capable of winning title number ten before he retires. Rossi has won across all racing categories, the 125cc in 1997, the 250cc in 1999, the 500cc in 2001 as well as the MotoGP class in 2002, 2003, 2004, 2005, 2008 & 2009.

Valentino Rossi dominated the 2002 MotoGP season onboard his Repsol Honda RC211V. Rossi was mostly untouchable on track and he finished as World Champion with 355 points. His closest rival, Max Biaggi finished with 215 points.

The 2002 GP season marked the start of a new era in racing called “MotoGP”. Teams could either race a 500cc two-stroke, or a 990cc four-stroke bike. The four-strokes had a huge power advantage and dominated the season. So much so, that by 2003 there were no two-stroke bikes competing in MotoGP.

AGV released this helmet in a their top of the line X-vent model shell.
