Manuel “Sete” Gibernau Bulto was born on the 15th of December 1972 in Barcelona, Spain. His racing career spans three different era’s of motorcycle racing beginning with the two-stroke dominated period prior to the 2002 season, the four stroke MotoGP era, as well as his return to racing in 2019 in the electric powered MotoE World Cup.
Gibernau was one of the top riders in Grand Prix racing at the beginning of the MotoGP era. Racing the Telefonica Movistar Honda, Gibernau finished runner up in the 2003 & 2004 seasons and enjoyed some incredible battles with Valentino Rossi during his career.
In 1998, Gibernau joined the Repsol Honda Team to race alongside the four time World Champion, Mick Doohan. He picked up his first Podium in Jarama, Spain and finished the season in 11th place.
Sete Gibernau has personally signed these Garibaldi leathers which have come from his personal collection. Sete wore these during the 1998 season racing the 500cc Repsol Honda. A very iconic set and branded nicely with the now band Marlboro sponsorship.
