Nicky Hayden nicknamed “The Kentucky Kid” was born in Owensboro, Kentucky July 30th, 1981. He began racing Flat Track at a very young age and has moved through the ranks of professional Motor-cycle racing with much success. Nicky was crowned the 2002 AMA Superbike Champion before moving to the premier class of racing “MotoGP” in 2003 with the Factory backed HRC Repsol Honda Team. Nicky won his first MotoGP race in front of his home crowd at Laguna Seca in 2005.
Heading into the last race of the 2006 season in Valencia, “The Kentucky Kid” had his chance to realize a life long dream. When Rossi fell on lap five, Hayden knew he only had to bring his Honda safely over the line to secure the title.
These very special gloves were obtained by Autographed Collectables directly from Nicky Hayden. They were worn in 2006, his Championship winning MotoGP season, and exclusively during the first two rounds. He finished in 2nd place wearing these in Qatar and in 3rd place in Jerez. After the first two rounds he switched to the Camo green and orange design.
