Luca Marini made his debut in the Moto3 World Championship at the 2013 San Marino Grand Prix as a wild card. His first full season was in 2016 racing with the Forward Racing Team. Marini continues to improve every season and has raced with the SKY Racing VR46 Team since 2018. He won his first race at the 2019 Thai Grand Prix, and won again a week later in Japan.
In 2020, Marini finished the season in 2nd place, his best season to date. In 2021 Luca moved up to MotoGP to race with the SKY VR46 Avintia Racing team. In 2022 Luca raced for his brothers VR46 Mooney racing Team and finished the season in 12th position. Luca finished all but one race and his results consistently improved over the season.
This beautiful AGV Helmet was worn by Luca many times during the 2023 MotoGP season. It’s also the infamous helmet that Luca was wearing during the India Sprint Race where he crashed into the rear of team mate Marco Bezzecchi racing into turn 1.
