Lance Stroll is a Canadian-Belgian racing driver competing under the Canadian Flag in Formula 1. He joined Aston Martin in 2021 after having previously driven for Williams and Racing Point. He is the 2014 Italian F4 Champion and 2016 FIA European F3 Champion. He was also part of the Ferrari Driver Academy from 2010 to 2015. Lance achieved his first F1 Podium, a 3rd place finish at the very tight and difficult Azerbaijan Grand Prix in 2017. He secured his first Pole Position at the 2020 Turkish Grand Prix.
In Bahrain in 2023, Lance defied the odds to line up on the starting grid after a bicycle accident in Spain only 15 days prior which saw him end up with fractures in both wrists, right foot & big toe. It was an astonishing drive to 6th place with such injuries being so fresh. Alonso finished a strong weekend for Aston Martin by finishing on the Podium in 3rd position.
