Martin is the 2014 Red Bull Rookies Cup Winner and 2018 Moto3 World Champion. In 2023, Martin challenged Pecco Bagnaia all the way to the last round of the MotoGP Championship, however just fell short of winning the title.
In 2024 Martin made the step he had worked so hard for during his career, and in a battle which again went all the way to the last round, however this time in Barcelona, Martin was crowned 2024 MotoGP World Champion, beating Factory Ducati rider Pecco Bagnaia by 10 points.
In 2025 Martin moved to the Factory Aprilia Team. A season to forget which was plagued by very serious, near career ending injuries.
He continues with Factory Aprilia in 2026 and heading into the last part of the season, Martin is leading the Championship ahead of Marc Marquez.
