Fabio Quartararo is the 2021 MotoGP World Champion. After much speculation, Quartararo inked a new deal with the Factory Yamaha Team that would see him race with them until the end of the 2024 season.
Prior to his Grand Prix career, Quartararo won six Spanish Championship titles. With such success at an early age, there were high expectations for the French racer. He moved to the premier MotoGP class of racing in 2019 with Petronas Yamaha SRT and was crowned MotoGP Rookie of The Year. He continued with them for 2020 and won three races during the season. In 2022 Fabio was promoted to the Factory Yamaha Team replacing Italian veteran Valentino Rossi. The impact was immediate, Fabio won five races during the season, and collecting another five podiums along the way to being crowned the 2021 MotoGP World Champion.
