Born in Monaco, Leclerc is the 2016 GP3 World Champion and 2017 FIA Formula 2 World Champion. Leclerc arrived in Formula 1 in 2018 driving with the newly re-branded Alfa Romeo Sauber Team. In 2019 Leclerc joined the prestigious Scuderia Ferrari Team and won his first race at Spa. He backed this up a week later with victory on Ferrari’s home turf of Monza.
