Casey Stoner retired from World Championship racing with two MotoGP World Titles, 38 Victories, 69 Podiums & 30 Pole Positions from 139 starts. He won his first title in 2007 while racing with the Factory Ducati team, a season in which he dominated from the first race and secured 10 victories winning by a margin of 125 points. Stoner also won the MotoGP title during his first season with the Repsol Honda Team in 2011.

As a rookie satellite rider, Stoner took the pole position in just his second MotoGP race, but crashed several times during the season. He finished in 8th position in the championship, with his best result being a second place at the Turkish Grand Prix. He was leading the race until he was overtaken on the final corner by Marco Melandri.
