Cal Crutchlow has moved through various racing categories since his early days racing in the 1999 UK junior challenge. The BSB series racing with The Rizla Suzuki Team during 2007-2008 to becoming World Supersport Champion in 2009 with Yamaha. Cal moved to MotoGP with the Tech 3 Yamaha Team in 2011 and spent three seasons with them. After a brief stint with the Factory Ducati in 2014, Cal moved to Lucio Chechinello’s LCR Honda team in 2015 to race alongside Rookie Australian MotoGP rider Jack Miller.
In 2020 Cal announced his retirement after competing at the highest level in MotoGP since 2011. A three time MotoGP race winner, Cal was a consistent performer who gained the respect of his rivals on track, and amassed a loyal fan base from around the world.
After Johann Zarco’s horrific crash at the 2026 Spanish Grand Prix in Barcelona, Cal was called up to replace the injured Zarco in the LCR Honda Team, a team Cal raced with for most of his MotoGP career.
