Brad Binder was born on the 11th of August 1995 in South Africa. Binder is the the 2016 Moto3 World Champion and at the Spanish Motorcycle Grand Prix that same year in Jerez, he became the first South African to win a motorcycle Grand Prix since Jon Ekerold won the 350cc class at the 1981 Italian Motorcycle Grand Prix.
Binder also raced in the Moto2 class during 2019 with the Ajo KTM team, he finished the championship in second place. Binder also raced three seasons in the Red Bull MotoGP Rookies Cup, with a best finish of fifth overall in the championship standings.
In November 2019, Binder was confirmed as a factory KTM rider in the MotoGP class for the 2020 season, replacing Johann Zarco who had abandoned his factory ride earlier in the year.
Binder became the first South African to win a MotoGP championship race at the 2020 Czech Republic motorcycle Grand Prix, also becoming the first rider to win with KTM in the premier class, as well as being the first rookie to win in MotoGP since Marc Márquez at the 2013 Motorcycle Grand Prix of the Americas.
Brad Binder personally signed these 2020 used MotoGP TCX Boots at the recent Portuguese MotoGP. As confirmed by Brad, these are the boots that he wore in the race at the Gran Premio de Teruel which unfortunately saw him take out Jack Miller at turn 2.
