Kevin Schwantz was born on the 19th of June 1964 in Houston, Texas. He began his career in AMA Superbike before moving up to Grand Prix with Suzuki in 1988. His riding style has been described as “do or die”, with Schwantz often either winning or crashing out trying. The stars aligned in 1993, allowing him to win his lone world championship, before injuries finally took their toll. His on-track battles with fellow American Wayne Rainey, will never be forgotten.
