Eddie Lawson was born on the 11th of March 1958 in Upland, California. “Steady Eddie” was known for his consistency and rarely ever crashed over the course of his career. He won three world championships with Yamaha (1984, 1986, and 1988) before leaving for Honda in 1989. That season saw Eddie become the first rider to win back-to-back world championships with different manufacturers. His impressive career earned him the distinction of “MotoGP Legend” in 2005.
